Components for Pic-Astro: What, Where, at what price?
Electronic components to mount a Pic-Astro are:

- PIC Microcontroller: the brain of your pic-Astro. Beware, its first program requires a specific tool.

You can buy all components you need to our partner Gotronic, for best prices. Astrimage offers through grouped orders, the specific components for Pic-Astro or requiring specific tools for programming: Micro-controllers PIC and electronic circuits of pro quality. Of course you are free to order where you want, but we recommend these two sources of supply so that you can enjoy the best prices and pro quality. Price: all products ordered from Astrimage and Gotronic have a total price of about a hundred euros for high quality components with grouped orders at Gotronic! Electronic circuits
The key for the reliability of your Pic-Astro : 90% of the problems in mounting a Pic-Astro come of the quality of printed circuit boards and soldering. Astrimage regularly orders printed circuit of industrial quality. It enables to have circuit of high quality, reliable, durable and inexpensive: the system of grouped orders allows to obtain lower prices than a circuit manufactured by a vendor of electronic equipment, with a much better quality. PIC Microcontroller
The microcontroller is the brain of Pic-Astro. This component loads in a single chip the equivalent of a miniature computer.

Like any computer, microcontroller needs to be programmed, and for the first program it is necessary to have a special programmator. Astrimage regularly orders microcontrollers, sometimes included in kits with printed circuit boards. You can register for orders or check the stock by sending an email to: commandes-nospam@astrimage.org (replace nospam by pic-astro).
Set of standard components
Our partner Gotronic offers a kit of components, including all the standard components of Pic-Astro at a very cheap price. You can order the kit directly from the website of Gotronic:
